Day 1, Arrival in Yangon
Upon arrival at the airport of this modern days commercial
capital city of Myanmar, Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, you will be
met and transferred to the DUSIT INYA LAKE RESORT for over night.
Later this
afternoon you will be taken to visit the world famous massive Schwedagon
Pagoda of great religious significance and beauty.
A
welcome dinner will be served at a local restaurant tonight. (D.)
Day 2,
Yangon-Bagan
Early this
morning, you will be transferred to the airport for you flight to Pagan, a
former capital of Burma, or Bagan as called in the local language; upon
arrival you will be met and transferred to the AYE YAR HOTEL
from where you will immediately start your visit of this fascinating
archeological place, you will see: the Nyang Oo Market; the Schwezigon
Pagoda the prototype of all stupas in this country; the Kyansitha U-min, a
tunnel with interesting paintings; the Weikyi-in Gubyaullyi Temple with
its murals depicting the Jalaka legend; the Htilominto Temple, noted for
its plaster moldings and the Talabka Gate.
A lunch will be served en route.
This
afternoon sightseeing will include the Arheological Museum, the Ananda
Temple, the Mingalazedi Pagoda and you will see some lacquer ware cottage
industries.

Day 3 Bagan-Mandalay
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your
flight to Mandalay. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to the
SEDONA HOTEL; soon you will be on your way to visit yet another
capital of the past, namely: Amarapura to there see the spectacular Maha
Gandayon Monastery, a
Buddhist
University, and see silk weavers, the U Bein wooden Bridge. Back in
Mandalay you will visit the venerable Mahamuni Pagoda and traditional
handicraft workshops.
Lunch will be served at the hotel.
This afternoon you will be taken to visit the
Royal Palace, newly reconstructed, the Zegyo Market, the Schwenandaw
Monastery, noted for its exquisite woodcarvings, the Kuthodaw Pagoda, the
Atumashi Monastery and the Mandalay Hill.

Day 4 Mandalay-Heho-Pindaya
This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your
flight to Heho; directly from the airport you will proceed to scenic
Pindaya to there visit the lake and cave of the same name, well known for
its countless Buddha Images.
A lunch will be served en route. Dinner and accommodation at
the CONQUEROR RESORT HOTEL. (B,L,D.)
Day 5, Pindaya-Taunggyi
Early morning, you will be driven to the shores of the Inle
Lake, famous for its unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty; you will visit
the Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, see wonderful floating markets and gardens, the
native way of fishing and traditional weaving. Lunch will be served here.

Day 6 - Heho -Yangon
After
breakfast you will visit the colorful market where many hills tribesmen
come to barter their produces. Hence you will be driven back to Heho for
your return flight to Yangon
Upon arriving
back in the capital city you will be transferred back to the DUSIT LAKE
RESORT and soon thereafter you will be taken to visit the Sule Pagoda
in the city center, the Botalaung Pagoda and the Nanthida Jetty to see the
life on the Yangon River.

Day 7 - Yangon-departure
Morning will be
at leisure for shopping or independent activities, Lunch will be served at
the hotel.
In due time you will be transferred to the airport for your
our onward flight.
