VIETNAM SOUTH TO NORTH 7-DAY (6-nights) VTN-1 Departure daily on private transport basis  only.   Day 1,  Arrive Ho Chi Minh City           Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, you will be met and transferred to the SOFITEL PLAZA HOTEL.              The balance of he day is at leisure.   Day 2,  in Ho Chi Minh City and vicinity             During this morning city tour you will visit Saigon’s historical landmarks including the old Post Office, Notre Dame cathedral, the former Presidential Palace, etc and Cholon the city’s bustling Chinatown.             In the afternoon you take an excursion to Cu-Chi to visit the incredible underground maze of tunnels, built by the Vietnamese guerilla fighters during the long war years.             Evening at leisure. (B)   Day 3, in Saigon’s vicinity   Today we lead you to an full-day excursion to the Mekong Delta; upon arrival in My Tho you will board a boat for a cruise on the winding canals to witness the local riverine life; stops will be made to enable you to visit villages and orchards and sample local fruits (B.) Day 4, Saigon-Danang             This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your short flight to Danang, from the airport you will be immediately taken to visit the Marble Mountain and China Beach, then you will be driven to Hoi An, an international trading port during the 17-18th centuries. This is a charming small town displaying a mix of western and eastern architecture; you will enjoy walking along its narrow cobbled streets, to reach the Phuc Kien Pagoda and the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge and the bazaar. Accommodation at THE FURAMA RESORT. (B.)   Day 5, Hoi An             Today we drive over a scenic Hai Van Pass to Hue, enjoying a panoramic view over the central coastline. In The former Imperial city of Hue you will get an insightful look at its regal past, here you will visit the Imperial Citadel and take a boat trip to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda. On the way to THE MORIN HOTEL for overnight you will visit the Tu Duc Royal Tomb. (B.)   Day 6, Hue-Hanoi             This morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Vietnam’s modern days charming capital. Upon arrival in Hanoi you will be met and transferred to the MELIA HOTEL.             Later today you will be taken to visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Fine Art Museum, the temple of Literature, to see the lake of the Restored Sword and the Old Quarter of “36 street of 36 wares”             This evening you will attend a most enjoyable performance of Water puppets, something unique to Hanoi (B.)   Day 7, Hanoi-onwards            In due time you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the airport for your onwards flight.
