BURMA BORDER TOWNS                                                                               code: CR-11* Daily by private transport at 08.00 a.m.   duration:  -               Cross the Sai river into Myanmar – Burma and witness local Burmese life in nearby village.  Rickshaw await here to take visitor’s to explore a Shan style temple, home for young novice monks.  After, ride around town through lanes and side streets of Tachilek.  Ending at a local market for shopping.  Next stop is the Golden Triangle – centre for opium trade.  From here view the splendour of the mighty Mae Khong joining the Ruak and forming the “triangle” with Laos, Burma, and Thailand.  Lunch en route.
