| AYUDHYA-PIMAI 2-DAY (1-night) TP-5 Departure daily by private transport only. Day1, Bangkok-Korat At 7.30 a.m. Departure from the hotel for Bang Pa-in where we will visit the Summer Palace of the Kings, with its fabulous Chinese Pavilion housing some Royal Memorabilia. Hence we proceed to Ayudhya, till 1767 the capital of Siam to visit its enchanting ruined palaces and temples. Lunch will be served here on the bank of the river and in the afternoon we drive to the town of Korat for accommodation at the SIMA THANI HOTEL. (L.) Day 2, Korat-Pimai-Bangkok At 7.30 a.m. Departure from the hotel to proceed further North on the Friendship Highway to reach Pimai a ruined Khmer temple dating from the 9th century, sometimes called “The Angkor of Thailand” the fact is that this wonderful temple decorated by deeply carved bas-reliefs, has been erected before Angkor. At 1.30 p.m. Departure from Korat for the return journey to Bangkok with a stop on the way at the Muak Lek waterfall for refreshments and fruits. (B.) |
