BANGKOK-CHIENGMAI OVERLAND A

Departure daily by private transport only.

 

 Day 1, Bangkok-Pitsanuloke

    At 8.00 a.m.       Departure from the hotel heading north to soon reach Saraburi where you will visit the very beautiful Wat Phra Buddha Bart and see its Lords footprint, then on to the Ayudhya’s outpost of Lopburi, to there visit the ruins of King Narais Palace, now a National Museum, the grandiose Wat Mahatard, the 3 Prasards, the Monkey Shrine and Constantin Phaulkons residence. Lunch will be served here.

          In the afternoon, you will make a stop on Nakorn Sawan you take a fascinating boat trip on the Nan River which is lined with boat-houses underneath most of which fish is being raised, visit a countryside temple where semi-wild monkeys are to be fed. In the evening you will reach Pitsanuloke for accommodation at the AMARIN LAGOON HOTEL.

Day 2,  Pitsanuloke-Chiengmai

          At 8.30 a.m. Departure from the hotel to visit the well known Wat Phra Jinaraj that shelters a unique Buddha Image, and we then drive to the first Thai capital city, Sukhothai, to visit its archeological ruins, now a World Heritage Site protected by UNESCO. Lunch will be served here.

In the afternoon we drive to Lampang to there visit the Wat Phra Keo Don Tao the Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, of Burmese architectural style, and then to Lampoon to there visit the magnificent Wat Haripoonchai and from here we drive to the hotel of our choice in Chiengmai.
