MEDIEVAL THAILAND

Departure daily
by private transport only.
Day 1, Bangkok-Pitsanuloke
at 7.00 a.m. Departure from
the hotel and transfer to the pier where you are to board an
air-conditioned boat to sail up the Chao Phraya River, Lunch will
be served on board, before you disembark in Bang Pa-In to there
visit the Summer Palace with its interesting Chinese Pavilion and
its collection of Royal Memorabilia. Thereafter you reboard your
road transportation and proceed to Saraburi to there visit the
scintillating Wat Phra Buddha Bart and its Lord’s
Footprint.
From here you will be driven further
North to visit the Summer capital of the Ayudhya’days,
Lopburi to see the ruins of King Narai’s
Palace, now a National Museum, the Wat Mahatard, Constantin
Phaulcon’s
palace, the Monkeys Shrine, the 3 Prasards, etc.
We reach
Pitsanuloke late afternoon for accommodation at the AMARINTR
LAGOON HOTEL.

Day 2,
Pitsanuloke-Tak
at 8.30
a.m. Departure from the hotel to visit the well known Wat Phra
Jinaraj that shelters a unique Buddha Image, and we then drive to
the first Thai capital city, Sukhothai, to visit its archeological
site, now a World Heritage site protected by UNESCO. Lunch will be
served.
In the afternoon
we reach the trading town of Tak for accommodation at the WIANG
TAK HOTEL. Before the day is over, we will drive up the hills
to visit a quaint Black Muser hilltribe village. (B.L.)
Day 3, Tak-Bangkok
After a
short ride we will reach the market place of Nakorn Sawan where we
will visit the teaming market and take a fascinating boat ride on
the Nan River. Lunch will be served here at the PIMARN HOTEL.
This
afternoon, on our way back to Bangkok we will make a last stop to
visit the ruined palaces and temples of the former capital of
Siam, Ayudhya. (B..L.)
